Thank you Wilderness for keeping an RV park open to people who love camping and nature.
There are 3 sex offenders living in the park. 1 of them is a predator. The owner will not tell you that when you make a reservation even if he's aware that you're bringing little girls.
Very nice setting in the woods with private fishing pond. Sites are roomy and can accommodate large rigs . Pull through sites are available. Many of people staying on site are long term or fulltimers. But sites are keep clean and tidy, so no problem.
With all the despicable price gouging of Irma refugees, I'd like to let everyone know that not all campground owners are like that. Wilderness RV Park in Robertsdale, AL not only made room for us, but were also nice enough to let us stay for the Passport rate. Nice big level spots, good pool, and friendly helpful owners. Thanks so much, George!
It's not a bad place for an over night stay or a day or two. Or if you like peace and quiet, since there's not much to do in this area. It's near the interstate, but closest town is 20 minutes away.
Restrooms have been updated with new tile, but no mats or rugs are on floors to prevent slipping on wet floors. This is especially a problem since showers are at the front of restroom. Floors are usually a muddy mess because of this situation. Also mo privacy because of location of showers. Paper products were empty in all of the stalls and not attended to until next day.
They accommodated our transit RV conversion and the people we meet around our campsite - which was a good size our set up is 43ft long- were super friendly. Facilities were clean. Lots of snow birds so long term residents. Older and newer models so this isn't one of those places that discriminate like so many do. Age as long as you care for your rig shouldn't matter shame on this outlook. Supports the entire throw away society America has readily embraced. Sorry but I enjoy the mix of people who have vintage or older rigs and the newer ones. It's a great balance. This place has that feel. No snootiness.
Nice quiet no frills campground with full hookups and couple small fishing ponds
